The Breakdown is a chilling psychological thriller surrounding a woman, Cass, that ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. After leaving a gathering with friends on a cold and rainy night she decides to take the shortcut through an ominous forest to get home. She comes along a woman sitting in her car appearing to be broken down. Cass pulls over and waits for the woman to show some sign that she needs help but none is given. For fear of her own safety she decides to drive away and the next day discovers the woman was murdered.
After this discovery Cass starts to break down herself and questions her own thoughts, feelings and actions. The story is full of twists and turn as she is thrown into a whirlwind of what appears to be her own creating. Cass doesn’t feel that she can trust herself but things are not what they appear to be. Will Cass be able to discover the truth in time to save her own sanity?
