Silversun Pickups returned to Boston on Thursday, July 21 at the House of Blues with their addicting alternative rock. A few hours before doors a number of Silversun Pickups enthusiasts lined up outside anxiously awaiting their spot on the barricade. As House of Blues started to fill up from the floor to the second balcony, fans of all ages and backgrounds were spotted. It shows how diverse Silversun Pickups’ music is with how many people they are able to reach.

As Silversun Pickups took the stage the crowd roared with excitement and they opened with their title track, “Cradle (Better Nature)” off of their latest album, Better Nature. They played a twelve song set with a three song encore. Some shows are over so fast because the songs are shorter but not with Silversun Pickups and their 5+ minute unforgettable numbers. Silversun Pickups have a way of making you feel like you’re hearing the song for the first time with their live versions being unique and showcasing their endless talent.

Fans showed so much support and love for Nikki Monninger as she sand “Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)” after lead singer and guitarist, Brian Aubert, made sure the crowd knew how nervous she was about singing it. Nikki smiled in her beautiful dress and sparkling shoes, closed her eyes, and left the crowd smiling ear to ear as they sang along. Silversun Pickups closed with “The Wild Kind” and every fan was on their feet clapping, screaming, and truly in awe of their performance.
